NO!!! I already survived one Ugg craze in Cali in the 80s, and I hate, hate, hate them! I don't care how comfy and warm they are, they're hideous. No matter how skinny your legs are (and yours are!), Uggs make you look like you have elephant hooves. Plus, they're one step removed from house slippers. So back away from the Uggs, lady! Your boot cred will be lost on me if you get them!
Get 'em. I was RIGHT there with you:I HATED them, thought they were ugly/stupid, made fun of people who wore them. Then I started working at an all girls school where 95% of the students wore them 7 days a week, and I was so fascinated that I turned crazy and decided I wanted a pair. You can't fight it! And, honestly? They are so comfy and warm and easy to wear. Though I do live in fear that Stacey and Clinton from What Not to Wear are going to see me in them. ;)
I think I told you, I got some tie-up Emus from my Ma for Christmas, and though I don't wear them out of the house often, they are a serious lifesaver for people with poor circulation and chronically cold feet. I wear them AS house slippers, Letisha, and I dare anyone to try to take them away from me now. I just wish they made them for hands, too.
Take Vienna, your passion is palpable. I won't mess with you. Abs, I actually saw a woman on the subway wearing a pair of Timbs that actually looked more shapely than Uggs. http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/39391917/c/6.html and these are kinda cute: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/35102351/c/2529.html
And if you do break down, you're maaaaybe allowed to get these: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/34611020/c/3.html
